Rating by category:
Excellent location, 1 min walk from Puerta del Sol and tube entry. Good value for money.
Very noisy on weekend nights, because of nearby bars. Very quiet on weekdays.
The location. It was in the middle of the city en that we enjoyed.
It was out site very noisy. The young people were very lout, and we woke up in the middle of the night for several times. It was not functionally that the ladies at the reception didn't speak english. My husband can speak al little bit Spanish, that was our luck.
It´s in a fabulous spot in the centre of madrid and close to shops and restaurants and bars! Rooms at back very quiet, but a bit of noise in the morning frompeople moving about on the staircase - it is a little hotel afterall.
The staff should learn how to communicate in English.. One of the girls has poor English. It was not a problem if she was kind but she was very rude indeed...!
The rooms were very clean, hotel was located downtown so great to explore the city, room had a nice bathroom (especially the shower). Great value for this price!
Little bit noisy in the morning when they started cleaning the rooms next to us.
Very good location ( near by museums and shops), close to metro stations.
Big noise from the street ( narrow street, many bars near ).
Location is great. Breakfast is accaptable.
Some of the rooms dont look outside, no sunlight for your room. So be sure that your room has a balcony and looks outside. It is mostly a hostel not a hotel.
Hotel placed in the heart of city, friendly staff, clean rooms, many restaurants in the area
Outside rooms are noisy, sewerage smell was in my room, air-conditioner was out of work
The hotel is a good choice for economy budget, it is clean and comfortable
There is no wifi
Excellent value for money! 56 EUR double room including buffet style breakfast, and the hotel really does deserve 3 starts (modern, renovated, nice bathroom, very clean, there is also a fridge in the room). There is even free WIFI access and a desk in the room, so since I had a business trip following the leisurely weekend, I was able to work in the room. Definitely ask for a back room, not facing the street. Our room was super quiet, yet the location of the hotel is just excellent: right in the middle of the bustling Puerta del Sol area, albeit on a quiet little side street.
Some of the front desk personnel could be a little more friendlier. However, they do have a lot do to as they are also responsible for cleaning the hallways and all the rooms, so it is not fair to expect 5 star front desk assistance.
The bathroom smelt very bad. The hotel staff could have been a little more friendly and helpful.
hotel position is very good in center, near shopping and local like disco and cervecerie.
room small and bad small
Location it's excellent
Some staff member very unfriendly and unprofessional. After reported a cockroaches problem in our room, we waited for 1 hour and half without any news. When we spoke to the lady at the Victoria desk, she was quite snappish and after explained the issue, she asked "so you want your room cleaned??". I don't think they have any idea how to deal with issues and clients.
It's location and cleanliness and lovely breakfast facilities were absolutely fantastic
Having to wait to give back out key the morning that we left.It was stressing with airport to go to
Excellent for location, perfect for a short city stay.
Would be nice to have a kettle or tea/coffee making service in room. Also, the plumbing in the shower was very slow - it took nearly 30 minutes for the water to drain away.
